Do you ever think about how it sounds, when there's no one to cry for that little boy they always told you about ? You know, the little boy that they always bring up. They call him 'lonely', 'emotional', 'pathetic' etc. Come onnnn, you know what little boy I'm talking about. The little boy you just looked at while he was crying, the little boy that asked you for help when he was at his lowest, the little boy that brought a smile to your face while tears were falling down his.
I'll answer the question. Loud. It's always going to sound loud when nobody is crying for the little boy because .. eventually he's going to have to cry for himself. He'll let it all out, maybe this time he won't cry in his pillow but still .. it'll be loud. Eventually, that little boy may be all that he has left. Eventually, he'll stop waiting for you to come around to hear him weep. They say ' people never get the flowers while they can still smell them '. So cliche but so true. Don't wait, until the little boy, has all grown up to tell him how much you've appreciated him. Don't wait for tragedy to ask how he's doing. Don't .. forget that .. anyone could be that little boy. Could be the author, could be the illustrator, could be the happiest person, actually.. could be you.
